Sharon Mallory

 

 

 

Sharon D. Mallory

As CEO, Sharon is SDM’s visionary. Ms. Mallory is responsible for defining and maintaining the direction of the firm and ensuring that client’s financial planning and investment needs are met at the highest level of fiduciary responsibility. In 1992, Sharon joined Waddell & Reed, Inc.  and remained with that financial services firm for 14 years. She has an extensive background in leadership and sales, and served as a commanding officer in the United States Army before entering the financial industry in 1992.

Sharon attended Purdue University West Lafayette where she received her BA degree prior to pursuing advanced degrees at Chicago State University and the University of Colorado’s School of Financial Planning. Ms. Mallory received her Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) designation from the University of Colorado. She holds her FINRA series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses and Life and Health licenses in various states in which the firm is registered 

 

 

 

Felicia Flowers-Smith

Felicia comes to SDM with a vast amount of experience as an Investment Banker.  Ms. Flowers-Smith established the investment banking consulting services of UFS after five years as a 50% owner and Chief Financial Officer of Universal Structured Financial Group, Inc, eleven years as a Managing Director with EVEREN Securities, Inc., Chicago, Illinois (now Wachovia Securities), and six years as a Senior Vice President with the Northern Trust Company, Chicago Illinois.  Mrs. Flowers-Smith has been directly responsible for the structuring and origination of over $2 billion in bonds, specializing in tax-exempt revenue bonds with an emphasis in multifamily housing and IDBs. In addition, Mrs. Flowers-Smith has extensive experience structuring new money and refunding issues for local issuers, using a variety of structures.  Felicia now wants to turn her passion for finance towards assisting individuals in structuring their financial portfolios to help them accomplish their life’s dream.

Mrs. Flowers-Smith has an undergraduate degree in Math and Computer Science from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa and a Jurist Doctorate degree from Creighton University in Omaha , Nebraska . Felicia holds her FINRA series 7, 6, and 63 licenses, she enjoys playing the ukulele.  

 
 
 
 
 

 

 Jason T. Parks

Jason has constantly filled the role of educator and advocate by increasing awareness of the need for balanced and healthy financial lives. He has dedicated himself to improving the way people approach their finances through a personable yet solutions-focused style of planning. 

Mr. Parks began his financial services career in 2004. He has held positions with various financial firms including JP Morgan Chase, Ariel Investments and most recently with a Chicago area Private Equity firm. Jason earned his BA degree in Economics from Valparaiso University. Jason holds FINRA Series 7, 63 & 65 licenses. He is currently an MBA candidate from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Ebony A. Smith

Ebony has a passion for helping clients chart the path from where they are to where they want to be.  She leverages her multidisciplinary background to offer thorough and creative solutions to your personal finance needs.

Ms. Smith began her career in the financial services industry in 2002.  As an Investment Banking associate, Ebony trained under Wall Street firms Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.  Prior to Wall Street, she worked as an investment analyst for a Philadelphia area Asset Management firm.  She earned her BBA in finance from Howard University School of Business, where she graduated Valedictorian.  Ebony holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 Licenses, earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of the New York State Bar.
